Unalaska War Memorial Park

Dit park staat in het teken van de Tweede Wereldoorlog. In dit park staat enkele monumenten en een Amerikaanse bunker.

Monument U.S.S. Northwestern
Het schip U.S.S. Northwestern werd tijdens de Japanse aanval op Dutch Harbor (3-4 juni 1942) tot zinken gebracht. Op het monument staat de volgende tekst:

"The SS Northwestern. Launched in 1889 carried passengers & freight for the Alaska Steamship Company retired in 1937. Repaired in 1940, served as housing for Siems-Drake Construction October 1940 to June 3rd, 1942, when destroyed by Japanese bombing raid."

Monument voor de vrede
Dit monument draagt de volgende tekst in acht talen:

"Moge vrede over aarde zegevieren"

Oorlogsmonument Aleoeten
Dit monument draagt de volgende tekst:

"Dit monument is opgedragen aan hen die geleden hebben en de pijn van oorlog hebben gevoeld. Aan hen die hebben gevochten en aan hen die sneuvelden. Aan de velen die moedig het land hebben verdedigd. Dit monument is in uw eer:

"Aleoet burgers, Amerikaanse legerpersoneel, Canadese legerpersoneel, Japanse legerpersoneel. 1942-1945."

Deze vlaggen staan voor: United States Coast Guard, Prisoners of War, Navy, United States Marine Corps, United States Army en the United States Air Force.

United States Coast Guard Monument
"BERING SEA PATROL: In memory of those United States revenue cutter service sailors who came before us. Let us never forget their sacrifice for the people of Alaska, their country, and the mariners of the world.

A few rest here, others found their final sleep in the cold waters neath the shadow of the pole.

On the occasion of our 200th birthday by the men and women of the United States Coast Guard

August 4th, 1790-1990"
