IRISH GUARDS
In memory of all who served with the Irish Guards Regiment since
its foundation on the 1st of April, 1900.
We remember with pride, all our comrades from County Mayo
who died or were seriously injured in the World Wars
and conflicts of the past century.
Reflect for a moment and pray for the brave soldiers
who fought for the freedom of Europe and the World.

CIVILIAN MEMORIAL
In remembrance of all the Mayo men and women who served in the
World Wars, as doctors, nurses and first aiders, helping the sick, injured
and dying of the Allied and Commonwealth forces.
Remember those who worked in the ammunition factories
and essential services supporting the war effort.
Numbered amongst the dead were the following
met daaronder 7 namen.
De derde gedenksteen herdenkt de mannen uit Mayo die zijn gesneuveld terwijl ze dienst deden in het Amerikaanse Leger tijdens de Eerste en de Tweede Wereldoorlog, de Korea-oorlog en de oorlog in Vietnam.
De vierde gedenksteen herdenkt de Connaught Rangers (88th / 94th Regiment of Foot), wat actief was van 1793 tot 1922.
