This memorial commemorates the Poles murdered by the Soviet Union during the 1939-1941 Soviet occupation of eastern Poland, in particular the Poles deported to camps in Siberia and the Polish military executed in Katyn. Designed by Maksymilian Biskupski, it depicts a railway with a wagon filled with mostly Christian crosses on top. On the railway sleepers are the names of the murder locations. It was unveiled on 17 September 1995, 56 years after the Soviet invasion.
