Under WOUM 79/Mob/6430/66 (AG5 Mob) dated 29 Mar 44 this unit is reorganized with H.Q. M.T Coy. 3 Tpt Pls, 1 serial 2 W/S pl. and 2 RDI’s with 4 x 4 Tp. Carrying vehicles to carry 20 soldiers each. | |||
15 | 3 vehicles of unit put through watersplash at Islip near Thrapston. Very Successful. | |||
18 | O.C. informed that unit changes command today from CRASC 2nd Army Trps. to CRASC 2 Tk. Tpt. Coln. RASC | |||
18 | Lt. Col. Thompson CRASC visits unit at 14:30 hrs. O.C. received “Prip Admin Instruction” from 21 Army Group under Top Secret Cover. At 15:30 hrs. unit warned to move at 7 hrs. notice. At 1830 hrs. verbal unit order received from Adijt RASC 2 Army Tps for main party to move on 19 Apr and main party and main party on 20 Apr to Salisbury area. | |||
20 | Main Party moves to provide 2 pls. Tpt. for H.Q. Hants & District. Located at Norman Court, West Dean, Salisbury. On arrival O.C. who visited H.Q. 2 Tk. Tpt. Coln. at Hampstead London on route, found that H.Q. & W/S and surplus bodies should not have come. This is the second time this has happened to the unit. | |||

22 | O.C. proceeded to Waterlooville, Hants camp A7 and had telephoned instruction from Lt. Col. Thompson to return to leave tomorrow. Rear party had not left. | |||

27 | O.C. went to conference at CRASC H.Q. 2 Tk. Tpt. Coln. RASC at 1430 hrs. Then proceeded to visit detachment at Norman Court, West Dean, Salisbury. | |||
28 | It was found that all ADOS indents & Mobn deficiency lists had been sent to ASOS Salisbury Plain Area. These were collected by O.C. for return to East Central District. O.C. proceeded to London 1900 hrs. | |||
29 | O.C. returned via ADOS E.C.D. to Coy H.Q. having collected 100 gls. of vehicle paint on route. First to be received for many months. |
