PREETZ | 5 | Normal Duties carried out at PREETZ, PLON, KIEL and NEUMUNSTER. At NEUMUNSTER investigations regarding V.D. cases were carried out, one women found to be a carrier and detained for treatment, patrols out no unusual incidents te report. At KIEL a further investigation is being made regarding a Pole who was stabbed to death, a number of persons were interrogated, further enquiries are proceeding. | ||

Cafes and Cinemas in the town visited, dress and conduct of troops good. No incidents to report from PREETZ and PLON. At KIEL fout young German girls who have been consorting with British troops and are suspected of V.D. were taken to be medically examined. Gnr. Hanson absentee, wanted for robberty with violence was arrested by two N.C.Os of this detachment. | |||

At NEUMUNSTER a speed check was carried out, the result being seven A.F.Bs.252 submitted, day and evening patrols out, no unusual incidents to report. Nothing to report from PREETZ and PLON. At KIEL a raid was made on a know Black Market spot, 250 Germans and 60 Poles were arrested. | ||

At NEUMUNSTER a V.D. investigation was carried out, five reports were submitted regarding vehicles being left mobile and unattended. Cafes and Cinemas visited, no unusual incidents to report. Patrols out in both PREETZ and PLON, no reports submitted, dress and conduct of troops good. At investigations were made in the case of a German girl attempting to change false German currency, owing to lack of evidence no arrest could be made. | |||
11 | Normal Duties carried out at PREETZ, PLON, KIEL and NEUMUNSTER. W.E.F. the 13th of October 1945, Captain Murphy relinquishes command of the Company, and Captain Richards R.H. takes over command. At NEUMUNSTER a German woman was arrested for being out after curfew, and a German Soldier charged with aiding and abettind. Speed check operated one report submitted. At KIEL two N.C.Os. attended Military Court, to give evidence in Black Market offences. A German girl was arrested for being in illegal possession of arms and ammunition. Two German females arrested and handed over to civil police as suspected V.D. carriers. Cafes and Cinemas visited dress and conduct if troops reported as satisfactory. | |||
PREETZ | 12 | Normal duties carried out at PREETZ, PLON, NEUMUNSTER, and KIEL. Member of S.S. under suspicion of escaping from Military Prison arrested, Several Cafes visited with regard to being put in or out of bounds, but there was nothing unusual to report, Addresses of V.D. suspects visited, result negative, D.P. Camps raided during the night in search for cattle, with negative result, patrol put on at RONNE as armed robbery was suspected. N.C.O.'s attended court, where two people were convicted for Black market offences, but the KIEL det. | ||

Camps raided during the night, with considerable results. No 5 Secion, investigated a traffic accident. No 9 Section carried out investigation on a supposed suicide. | |||

KIEL Det. 6 girls from D.P. camp handed over for medical examination for V.D., 4 Poles arrested re- raid on D.P. camp previous night. Carried out investigations, with regard to Black Market activities – 1 German Girl who had escaped from V.D. hospital, taken from D.P. Camp. 1 Curfew offender arrested. Speed check held, but nothing to report, – 1 civilian arrested for being in possession of British petrol & driving a vehicle without an E.S. label, – German youth brought in for interrigation regarding Black Market offences, and for wearing W.D. Battle-Dress. He was attempting to exchangge Camera for cigarettes. B/dress & camera retained, but civilian released owing to his youth. No 5 Section held speed check. No 7 Section carried out Mobile & foot patrol. Scene of an accident was visited & enquiry made No 9 Section. V.D. investigations conducted, day & night patrols carried out. | ||
PREETZ | 17 | Normal duties carried out at PREETZ, PLON, KIEL & NEUMUNSTER. KIEL Det. reported that the Eichof Lager was raiderd, & a still was discovered for the manufacture of liquor & 2 arrests were made, Pole arrested for being in possession of Bacon, & clothing believed to have been stolen. 3 German girls arrested as V.D. suspects, cafes visited to determine whether they should be put in or out of bounds, Pole arrested for being concerned in armed robbery, pillage and looting. No 5 Section operated speed checks, No 9 Section V.D. investigation was conducted speed check operated results being one charge. | ||
18 | Normal duties carried out at, PREETZ, PLON, KIEL & NEUMUNSTER. KIEL Det. reported investigations made at Polish D.P. camp. 9 German girls were found to be living there. These girls were conveyed to CID for further action and medical examination, 2 Germans arrested for entering a D.P. camp & attempting to sell methylated spirits, German woman arrested & handed over for medical report ref. V.D., Pole arrested for pretending to be a Polish Merchant Navy Officer, Woman handed over for medical Dept. re V.D. No 5 Det., held a speed check, Town patrol with nothing to report by No 7 Section. No 9 Section reports court of enquiry into previously reported suspected suicide, of a sergeant/major, Report rendered regarding a stolen Jeep. 1 V.D. case was investigated. Day & Night patrols were carried out. | |||
PREETZ | 19 | Normal duties carried out at PREETZ, PLON, KIEL & NEUMUNSTER. KIEL Det. reports, a civilan car was traced & inpounded, N.C.O. attended court ref 4 Poles concerned in armed robbery. Sentences passed were 2 for 10 years, 1 for 2 years 1 for 1 year. Invenstigations concerning a soldier Gnr Hanson, later in the day this soldier was seen, chase given, but managed to get away, Police bloodhound brought in to take up scent, but lost it. Search continues. Further investigations were carried out regarding illicit Still found in D.P. camp. No 5 Section investigated a traffic accident day & night patrols out. No 7 Section visited scene of accident and enquiries made. Day & night foot patrols carried out. No 9 Section carried out V.D. investigation, 2 civilians arrested for Curfew offences who were aided and abetted by 2 soldiers who were charged, Speed traps operated, resultingi n 2-252's & one report, Report made concerning 2 Polish D.P.'s who had been arrested. | ||
PREETZ | 20 | Normal Duties were carried out at PREETZ, PLON, KIEL and NEUMUNSTER, No 7 Section carried out foot patrols in PREETZ turnout and conduct of Troops good. No. 5 Section carried out a speed check in NEUMUNSTER result two A.F.B. 252s rendered. No 9 Section NEUMUNSTER reports that evening foot patrols were carried out, with special attention being paid to turnout and conduct of troops, both these later mentioned items were good. At KIEL a raid was carried out at a point known as a Block Market centre, tow arrest were made. An N.C.O. from this Detachment attended the Military Court to-day. | ||
PREETZ | 21 | Normal Duties carried out at PREETZ, PLON, KIEL and NEUMUNSTER. At NEUMUNSTER a German civilian was arrested for circulating after curfew, Day and Night street patrols carried out, all correct. Two German Girls were arrested at KIEL, they are known to be V.D. carriers, handed over to Civil Authorities for examination. Cafes were visited during the day, but nothing unusual to report. | ||
22 | Normal Duties carried out at PREETZ, PLON, KIEL and NEUMUNSTER. At NEUMUNSTER a road accident was reported, and Speed Check carried out, Check was made on “Out of Bounds Cafes” all was found to be in order. At KIEL the search for Gnr Hanson still continues, from evidence received it is believed that he has not vacated the KIEL area. 12 German Girls were taken from Eichof D.P. Camp for medical examination. | |||
23 | Normal Duties carried out at PREETZ, PLON, KIEL and NEUMUNSTER. Mobile Patrol at PREETZ reported German Truck with traileers for being over maximum length permitted. Speed Check at NEUMUNSTER, one A.F.B. 252 submitted, It was observed by the N.C.Os. on duty that speeding is on the decline, day and night foot patrols carried out, dress and conduct of troops good. At KIEL a Danisch girl was arrested and conveyed to the C.I.D. Female Dept., as a suspected V.D. carrier. Search for Gnr. Hanson still carried out. | |||

At KIEL 25 Cafes were visited and inspected and all placed “In Bounds” German woman arrested, suspected of being V.D. carrier, German arrested for attempt to steal a Radio Set. At NEUMUNSTER day and evening foot patrols carried out, also Speed Check, reports submitted, V.D. investigations carried out. | |||
27 | Normal Duties carried out at PREETZ, PLON, KIEL and NEUMUNSTER. Speed Check at NEUMUNSTER, no reports to submit. At KIEL an alleged member of the Nazi Party was traced and interrogated, One N.C.O. at Military Court to-day, a German found guilty of being in possession of W.D. Petrol was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment. The activities of two Printing Firms are being investigated. | |||

Patrols at PREETZ and PLON report no unusual incidents. At KIEL a man alleged to be leader of a ging who committed a murder was arrested at LUBECK and brought back to KIEL for interrogation. | |||
PREETZ | 29 | Normal Duties carried out at PREETZ, PLON, KIEL and NEUMUNSTER. A special check was carried out at NEUMUNSTER in respect of Curfew offenders, reports submitted. At KIEL four printers were placed on an offence report, for Printing without authority. | ||
30 | Normal Duties carried out at PREETZ, PLON, KIEL and NEUMUNSTER. At NEUMUNSTER an investigation was carried out regarding a chain being placed across the road, speed check carried out, reports submitted. A further search was made at the house of a German awaiting trial for being concerned in armed robbery with Poles 200lbs of Salt Pork was found. At KIEL assistance was given to C.I.D. with successful results. | |||
31 | Normal Duties carried out at PREETZ, PLON, KIEL and NEUMUNSTER. At KIEL one N.C.O. attended a Courts Martial, and one N.C.O. a Summary of Evidence. Patrols out Two A.F.Bs. 252 submitted. At NEUMUNSTER the Garrison Commander imposed a 1900 hour Curfew for two nights, patrols out no incidents to report, dress and conduct of troops good. |
