NORCO 2   Lt. General Sir Richard N O'Connor, KCB, DSO, MC, Corps Commander, gave lecture at BRIDLINGTON to all officers on Exercise “Eagle”.
WASSAND HALL 7   Lt. P.H. Andrews, Bde Senior L.O., promoted A/Capt, wef 28 Jan 44.
WASSAND HALL 8-11   Signal Exercise Beverley IV, this exercise was worked from this location.
WASSAND HALL 9   Capt. A.J. Harland, posted to 159 Bde H.Q. as E.M.E. Capt. W.H. Seymour, left to join 159 Bde Workshops.
NORCO 18   Warning order from Division. Prepare to move to new location.
NORCO 20   Bde Comd lectured to officers at ROWLSTON on Patrolling.
NORCO 21   The Corps Commander visited the Bde area.
NORCO 22   The Bde was inspected by H.M. The King with H.M. The Queen and H.R.H. Princess Elizabeth, the Corps and Div. Commanders were present. The inspection took place at 1200 hrs on DRIFFIELD Aerodrome. Bde H.Q. advance party, with battalion adv parties left for new location.
WASSAND HALL 25   Major N.A. Hill, the Royal Warwickshire Regt, posted to 159 Bde H.Q. as DAA & QMG. He was the first holder of this appointment in the brigade.
SECO 28   The main body arrived at new location. The Bde H.Q. was divided as follows: Bde Comd, and Staff officers at the Army College, Hungry Hill, between FARNHAM and ALDERSHOT, and Signals, M.T. L.A.D. Camp Commandant and non essential personnel at Salamanca Barracks, Wellington Lines, ALDERSHOT.
SECO 29   Bde I.O. Capt. A.C. Solomon, left ofor a weeks course at MATLOCK, arranged for I.O's of 21 Army Group.
